We’ve reached my goal of $500, AND SURPASSED IT! We’ve reached $600!
Thank you so much for all of your support! Thank you to everyone that donated money to the Canadian Mental Health Association! Your donation will go a long way to supporting many people who are living with mental illness. And even if you didn’t donate – even if you just liked my posts – I appreciate your support, your friendship, and your good vibes. It’s giving me more courage to keep fundraising in support of mental health resources and for my bike ride later this month.
Now more than ever, we need to increase support and resources for people living with mental illness. We have a crisis of mental illness and suicide and we have to do something. We’ve lost too many great people: Robin Williams, Kate Spade, Anthony Bourdain, and personally, my wonderful friend Will.
I survived and I’m fighting to live. And I’m fighting for others to live too. That’s why I’m doing this. That’s why your support is so important.
Even after this fundraiser and this bike ride, I won’t ever stop fighting and advocating for causes like this that are so close to my heart.
And hopefully soon (if everything goes well), I’ll have more good news about how I’ll continue to be working to protect and care for others who are vulnerable.
I want to say this again: In these trying times: be kind to one another. Be empathetic. Care for one another. We never fully know the struggles that everyone goes through, alone in the quiet darkness. But maybe, just maybe, we can shine a little bit of light and life into each other’s lives.
I truly believe God is good and has blessed me with so much. I am so blessed and so humbled by everything. Thank you for everything, and let’s make things better together.
