Walking along the water’s edge
Alone and desolate
The night calls us forward
Towards the place where the world ends
Where stone meets wood
And where water meets the world.
There is comfort in surrendering yourself to the lake’s embrace.
The waves at your feet, crawling upwards until it swallows you whole.
